That schedule tells you how the location functions. It catches the early run before the rest of the corridor is fully moving, then stays open through the afternoon and early evening.
In the same retail node, Martinez Bakery Express operates its Greenwood-only location at 1805 South County Road 1105, Suite S. Its posted weekday hours are 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. That makes it a lunch and dinner stop rather than the first call of the morning.
A second cluster sits at 6009 FM 307. Permian Basin Bakery opened there in April 2025 with Mexican-style sweet breads and prepared dishes. When the bakery opened, owner Juan Carlos Reyes-Chavez told local media that Greenwood’s growth drove the decision to establish a location there.
The address also includes Twisted Sugar in Suite 1 and Studio 307 in Suite F. Each fills a different role. One handles a quick treat. The other hosts showers, birthdays, graduation parties, corporate gatherings, Bunco nights, pop-ups and fitness classes.
That mix is the first proof of the corridor’s structure. Greenwood does not depend on one large commercial center. Smaller clusters divide the work.

The most recent change on the corridor is Tarzan & Jane Travel Center at 8521 FM 307. The Greenwood location opened July 5, 2026.
The verified lineup is straightforward: gasoline, diesel, an ATM, public restrooms and a quick-service restaurant. Local reporting also identified breakfast burritos, burgers and snacks among its offerings. The location is listed as open 24 hours.
That operating schedule changes the corridor more than another limited-hours storefront would. Before the early retail stops open and after evening activities finish, Tarzan & Jane gives FM 307 a full-day service point.
It also reinforces the central pattern. The corridor is filling in by function. One address does not replace the other nodes. It covers the hours when many of them are closed.
Afternoon Activity Moves Farther East
The afternoon pattern is shaped by schools, public services and scheduled stops rather than conventional shopping.
Midland County Public Libraries brings its POLLY Bookmobile to Greenwood. The July 2026 calendar lists a Greenwood stop on July 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. County calendars identify the location as the FM 307 parking lot next to Greenwood Baptist Church and across from Greenwood Elementary.
That location should be understood correctly. Greenwood does not have a conventional library branch at that site. The Bookmobile brings library materials and literacy tools into the community on scheduled dates.
It is a practical response to Greenwood’s physical layout. Instead of asking every resident to make a separate Midland trip, the county places a mobile service on the same corridor residents already use.
School-related activity also concentrates near FM 307 and FM 1379. Greenwood ISD’s current address is 2700 FM 1379, just off the FM 307 spine. A state accessibility project record lists a new Greenwood ISD intermediate school with an anticipated completion date of October 31, 2026.
That date is a construction estimate, not a confirmed opening date. Still, the project shows where another layer of weekday activity is being added.
Evenings Belong to Fields and Gyms
At 7300 FM 307, Greenwood Little League and USA Softball list multiple fields and batting cages. Greenwood Youth Sports now offers baseball, softball, football, basketball, volleyball and cheerleading.
Those programs spread activity across seasons, so the corridor’s evening rhythm is not limited to football. Practice and competition schedules change, but the fields remain one of the recurring destinations along FM 307.
The school complex adds another athletic node nearby. The fourth annual Midland Cheetahs Youth Track and Field Meet is scheduled for July 24 and 25, 2026, at J.M. King Memorial Stadium, 2700 FM 1379. The two-day event begins with younger participants on Friday and continues with additional competition Friday evening and Saturday.
Fall brings a different schedule. Greenwood High School’s 2026 football season is set to begin August 28 with a home game against Jim Ned. The published schedule also includes home dates in September, October and November. Residents planning around those Fridays should confirm the schedule before heading out, since athletic dates can change.
This is where the corridor’s sequence becomes most visible. The morning centers on food and coffee. The afternoon shifts toward schools and public services. The evening moves to fields, gyms and stadium activity.
The 307 Name Now Travels Beyond Greenwood
The 307 Farmer’s Market began on FM 307 at the Greenwood fire station. It eventually outgrew that location and moved to the west parking lot at the Midland County Horseshoe.
The name stayed. The address did not.
That is an easy detail to miss if you remember the original market but have not attended recently. The official 2026 schedule lists four remaining markets:
- July 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- August 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- September 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- October 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All four are scheduled outdoors on the west side of the Midland County Horseshoe parking lot. The market features local produce, prepared food and handmade goods.
The move says something useful about Greenwood’s identity. FM 307 is strong enough as a local reference that the market kept the number after leaving the road. The corridor is no longer only an address. It has become shorthand for the community that built the event.
Roadwork Is Changing the Connections Between Nodes
Daily routines depend on the smaller roads feeding FM 307. South County Road 1110 is one of the most active examples.
Midland County reconstructed SCR 1110 in phases between FM 307 and East County Road 120. Local reporting tied that work to several projects in the same area, including a new Greenwood school, utility-district water-line construction and a TxDOT traffic signal at FM 307 and SCR 1110.
The original schedule called for the second phase to finish in April 2026. County commissioners approved a construction change order that same month, so it would be premature to state that every part of the work is complete. Residents should rely on current signs and county notices rather than the original estimated timeline.
Future work on FM 307 also requires restraint. TxDOT’s Odessa District maintains a four-year proposed project schedule, but the agency states that projects can be added, changed or removed. A future roadway-rehabilitation project has appeared in earlier schedules, but no precise start date or cost should be treated as settled without a current Project Tracker check.
The practical point is simple. FM 307 may be the spine, but SCR 1110, FM 1379 and the other connecting roads determine how efficiently residents reach each node.

- Evenings: Youth fields and the FM 1379 athletic complex become the primary destinations.
- Weekends: Studio 307 hosts scheduled gatherings, while the 307 Farmer’s Market carries the Greenwood name to the Midland County Horseshoe on select dates.
That is how Greenwood runs its week. Not from one downtown block, but through a chain of addresses that take turns carrying the load.
